Wingward is a Samsung Galaxy we set up, lock down and manage for you. Your kid calls and texts the people you approve. During school, it locks, and shows that it's locked.

The problem
Phone pouches don't work.
Schools lock phones in pouches for the day. It doesn't hold, and after the bell the phone is exactly what it was. We think the phone itself should be safe.
Kids get around them.
A second phone, a pouch that doesn't quite close, a phone that never goes in.
Teachers police them.
Class time goes on checking pouches instead of teaching.
Nothing changes at 3 pm.
The pouch opens and the whole internet is back.

Approve contacts, see where they are, see that it's locked at school. On iPhone or Android.

Usually suits ages 9 to 12

School time
Locked at school. And it shows.
On school days the phone locks itself down, its screen says so, and you see it in your app.

Privacy
We can't see where your kid is.
Your kid's location is encrypted on their phone, so only your devices can open it. Our servers pass it along sealed. If someone broke into them, there'd be no location to find.

Can my kid get around it?
We lock the phone down before it ships: no factory reset, no safe mode, no adding accounts, and Settings are hidden. We test every way out we know of on these phones, and keep testing.
Which carrier do I need?
Any. Put in a SIM from the plan you already have, or start a low-cost plan with Tello.
Does it work if I have an iPhone?
Yes. The parent app runs on iPhone and Android; you add it to your home screen from the browser.
Can I change the level later?
Any time, from the parent app.
